Rachel graduated from Augusta State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. She has over 12 years of coaching and judging experience. Rachel was a four year member of the Varsity Aquinas Fighting Irish Football and Competition Cheerleading Squad where she won the Coaches and Spirit award her senior year. She also served one year as a member of the Cheer Ltd. summer camp staff in Fayetteville, NC and staffed at Cheer Ltd. Nationals at Canam.
Rachel is also a former member of the Augusta State University cheerleading squad where she cheered five years and met her husband who played for the Augusta State basketball team. Rachel and Luke married in 2010 and had their first daughter in 2013. Rachel has coached levels 1 - 4 and her teams have aquired multiple National titles. Rachel's Youth 1 team was the first National Stars team to receive first place at Cheersport Nationals title in 2014. She is certified by NCA, NCSSE, Cheer Ltd., and AACCA. Rachel currently coaches our Mini Level 1, Large Junior Level 3, Senior Co-ed Level 3, and Senior Restricted Co-ed Level 5 teams.
Meredith Dailey is a Public Relations graduate from Georgia Regents University. She cheered for seven years competitively at Westminster Schools of Augusta. She was moved to the Varsity squad her eighth grade year and voted best all-around her senior year. Once graduated Meredith coached the Westminster Middle School cheerleading squad for a year before coming to coach at ACA. While cheering four years at Augusta State Meredith also served as a “super senior” at Southern MPact in 2009 on the senior large level 3 that took the National Championship at UCA Nationals as well as in 2010 on the senior level 4 team. Meredith also cheered for the Flying High Raven's in Columbia, where her Open Level 6 team took first at All-Levels.
Meredith also served as the assistant cheerleading coach at GRU and in 2013, taking them to competition for the first time in nine years. She also coached the Westminster Schools of Augusta competitive Varsity cheerleading squad during the 2013-2014 season, as well as the Middle School squad in 2015. Coaching at ACA since its opening in 2009, Meredith’s teams have earned multiple National Championships. Meredith will no longer be coaching teams, but will be working remotely as she live in New York City, serving as a flight attendant to United Airlines. Meredith will now serve as our Director of Communications, creating posters and flyers for advertising, running the ACA website, writing a weekly newsletter for the National Stars Allstar Program, and updating all of our social media accounts. Laura Ashley Ross: Recreational Class Director
Laura started as a gymnast at the age of 6 before she switched over to cheerleading. Laura cheered competitively for the Haydens Twisters for 10 years. During her time with the Twisters, Laura became a 4 time Cheersport National Champion (2007, 2009-11). Laura also cheered with the Lakeside Panthers throughout all of high school. After graduating in 2011, Laura attended Georgia Southern University, where she began obtaining her degree in Criminal Justice. After a year at GSU, Laura moved home to attend Georgia Regents University and began coaching for the National Stars. Laura is a USASF certified judge for both allstars and high school. This year Laura coaches our Junior Level 2 team as well as serving in her new role as the Recreational Class Director. Laura is now responsible for setting up new classes, as well as communicating with families within the gym, ensuring every families happiness while their athlete is at ACA.
Jamie Wadford: Allstar and Tumbling Coach
Jamie Wadford currently coaches at ACA with 5 years of allstar cheerleading experience. Jamie began cheering at Premier Mpact at the age of 14 and has now been with ACA since opening in April 2009. Jamie's passion for cheerleading has always been present, she frequently double-teamed and triple-teamed each year of her cheer career. She is graduate of Greenbrier High School. After high school Jamie attended Augusta University before gaining the lead teaching position in the two-year-old classroom at Oakbrook A Bradley School. Jamie currently coaches tumbling as well as our Mini Level 1, and Senior Co-ed Level 3 teams. Jamie's goal is to make her classes fun and exciting along with teaching them to advance to the next level.
Jarrell Jones: Allstar Coach
Jarrell is a current cheerleading coach and choreographer with 15 years of cheerleading experience. He has 6 years of All-Star coaching experience in levels 1-5. He has trained and or coached under many prestigious gyms such as Maryland Twisters, All-Star Legacy, Virginia Wild All-Stars and Maryland All-Star Athletics to name a few. He has coaching experience in Recreation/Pop Warner, High School as well. Jarrell is USASF Certified in levels 1-5 in tumbling, stunts and levels 2-5 in baskets. He is very well versed on the NFHS Rules and Regulations. Last, he is a former member of All-Star Legacy's International Open Level 5 Team and was a premier member of the Maryland Twisters International Open Level 5 Team. He is currently coaching our Senior Level 1 and Senior Restricted Co-ed Level 5 teams.
Deja Malone: Allstar and Tumbling Coach
Deja has been a part of the ACA for three years, coming to us as an athlete on our Senior Level 4 teams. Before cheerleading, Deja was involved in gymnastics from the ages of 5-17 years old. She was involved in competitive gymnastics in Hawaii before moving to Georgia in 2010. Once she moved to Georgia, Deja joined Haydens Gymnastics. Throughout her time as a gymnast Deja has won several National Championships. She attended Westminster Schools of Augusta from 2010-2014 where she cheered competitively. In 2012, the Wildcats won the State Title for the GISA division. Deja now attends Augusta University where she is pursuing her degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Nutrition. She currently coaches recreational tumbling classes, as well as our Senior Level 1 team.
Alex Lever: Allstar Coach
Sarah “Alex” Lever has received her associate’s degree in science and will be starting nursing school in the fall at Georgia Regents University. Alex is also certified in CPR and First Aid. Alex cheered all-stars for five years at Worldclass Cheer, as well as participation on her middle and high school teams Alex was placed on the Harlem Varsity squad her freshman year and became the captain of her squad at Grovetown High School junior year. This will be Alex’s third year at ACA where she will be coaching our Tiny Expo team.
Ashley Wilcox: Allstar and Tumbling Coach
Ashley has been a part of the Augusta Cheer Academy Nation Stars family since our opening in 2009. After cheering for the stars for a year, Ashley also began cheering at school on the Greenbrier JV Football squad her 9th and 10th grade years. Her junior year, Ashley cheered on the Varsity Football squad, as well as her Senior year when she cheered competitively for the Wolfpack. After graduation in 2014, Ashley started her college career at Georgia Regents University where she plans on getting a degree in Early Childhood Education.
Ashley also cheers for the GRU Jaguars competition and basketball squads. This past year Ashley competed on the Augusta University competition squad which earned a first place finish at Cheersport Regionals in Atlanta. Ashley has served as the Assistant Coach for our Mini Prep teams over the past two years, as well as coaching recreational jump and tumbling classes. This year Ashley will be coaching our Tiny Expo and Mini Level 1 Teams.
Nick Hall: Allstar and Tumbling Coach
Nick began competing with Hayden's Gymnastics at the age of six. He traveled throughout the Southeast competing on a Level 4 team until middle school. Nick won gold on the floor routine in 2000 and 2001 at the Georgia State Gymnastics Open in the Men's Level 4 division. He became involved with cheerleading in middle school. In high school Nick began tumbling and stunting with Silver Bluff High School in Aiken, SC.
At Georgia Southern University, Nick continued to tumble and cheer at Cheer South Allstars in Statesboro, Ga. He also began involving himself with co-ed stunting. In 2012, he moved home to Augusta University and joined the competition cheerleading team for the Jaguars. He graduated from AU in December 2016 with a degree in Communications, focusing his studies on Public Relations. Beginning in 2016, Nick has coached level 1-4 tumbling in Aiken and has recently began coaching at Augusta Cheer Academy. Nick will be joining our team as an allstar coach for the 2017-2018 season.
Kaleb has been a part of the National Stars Program for several years. Always an athlete, he played both soccer and baseball from a young age. When he first came to ACA he was on our Junior Level 2 teams for two years. Kaleb took a break from cheerleading to play football before returning to be on our Junior Level 3 team. Kaleb has also been on Senior Level 5 where he was one of our premier tumblers. Kaleb is currently on Senior Coed Level 4 and will be coaching our recreational tumbling classes as well as helping with clinics and Open Gym!
Sydney began tumbling at the age of five, when she started gymnastics with the YMCA. She made her move to ACA at age ten where she joined the National Stars Senior Coed Level 3 team. Sydney spent her second year with the National Stars on our Senior Coed Level 4 team. After two years with the Stars, she dedicate her time to school cheerleading. Sydney has cheered at Evans High School for three years and will be entering her senior year this August.
